MELISSA GIES

MS, CCC-SLP, BCBA
  • Speech Language Pathologist

I am a licensed and ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with a strong background in supporting children with diverse communication needs, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental conditions. Before joining Integrated Speech & Behavior, I worked as a school-based SLP at The Joshua School in Boulder, CO. There, I specialized in assessing and designing individualized speech-language interventions while guiding educational teams on communication strategies, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems.

My experience spans in-home pediatric therapy and research-focused intervention through the Northwestern Early Intervention Research Group, where I also contributed to clinician training. These experiences have strengthened my passion for creating accessible and effective communication pathways for children across varied settings.

I believe in a collaborative, child-led approach to therapy and focus on empowering families to support their child’s communication growth in meaningful ways. Helping children find their voices, connect with others, and reach their full potential is what inspires me every day.

I’m excited to bring my experience and passion to the team at Integrated Speech & Behavior and look forward to working with you and your child!
