I am a passionate, dual-certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with over 15 years of experience helping individuals with complex communication needs achieve meaningful, life-changing progress.
I earned my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and began my career as a school-based SLP in the Cherry Creek School District. There, I joined the district’s Assistive Technology Team, where I worked alongside fellow SLPs to support individuals using speech-generating devices (SGDs) to communicate.
In 2009, eager to deepen my expertise and better serve individuals with autism, I transitioned to The Joshua School (TJS), a nationally recognized center for autism education. My experience at TJS—collaborating with dedicated therapists, teachers, families, and students—was transformative. It fueled my commitment to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and how it complements speech-language pathology to unlock a child’s full communication potential. In 2014, I became a BCBA and soon after founded Integrated Speech & Behavior (IS&B), where I set out to help families build bridges to meaningful communication and to elevate families expectation of what their children can achieve by providing them with the tools, strategies, and support needed to foster independence, reduce frustration, and develop lasting, functional communication skills.
At IS&B, I specialize in combining AAC strategies with the evidence-based principles of ABA to teach children highly functional, family-valued communication skills. My approach is dynamic, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that every child can make meaningful progress with the right tools and guidance. I have very little tolerance for stagnation. I believe progress should be visible, purposeful, and empowering for both the child and their family. I hire therapists who share this belief. I know firsthand the power of equipping children, families, and professionals with strategies that truly matter—ones that reduce barriers, increase independence, and make communication more natural and joyful. By integrating speech-language pathology and ABA, we work to transform challenges into opportunities and cultivate skills that significantly improve quality of life.
As a clinician, trainer, and consultant, I’m committed to empowering families to become confident advocates and active participants in their child’s communication journey. Together, we identify and teach behaviors and skills that matter most—skills that foster connection, reduce frustration, and build a foundation for lifelong success.
