Getting Started at Our Center
Step 1: Connect With Us
Let’s make this easy! You can call, email, or fill out our contact form to schedule a tour or set up a time to talk. We’ll chat about your child, their unique strengths and needs, and your hopes for therapy.
Our goal is to make getting started feel simple, welcoming, and supportive. You’ll have a chance to talk with our clinical director or center owner, and together you’ll explore our service options and what may be the best fit for your child and family.
Step 2: Insurance Verification
We’ll collect your insurance information and complete a quick verification check to confirm whether our services are covered under your plan and whether any copays, deductibles, or coinsurance apply.
This step typically takes one business day, and we’ll review the results with you before scheduling your child’s evaluation.
As of November 2025, Integrated Speech & Behavior is in network with Colorado Medicaid.
We are also in the process of contracting with:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Aetna
- Kaiser
- Denver Health
- Cigna
- United Healthcare
Our website will be updated as each contract is finalized in early 2026.
We also offer private pay rates and support families in using out-of-network benefits.
Step 3: Meet or Evaluate
Before beginning an evaluation, we may recommend a brief meeting or observation to ensure our services are the right fit for your child. If needed, our Center Director or Center Owner will schedule this visit so we can learn more about your child and determine the best next step.
Once we’re ready to move forward, we’ll schedule your child’s initial evaluation — an engaging, play-based assessment that helps us understand their current communication skills.
Using both Speech-Language Pathology and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) perspectives, we identify how your child learns best and outline individualized next steps for growth.
Evaluations typically last 1–3 hours and take place here in our center.
Step 4: Discuss Plan
After your child’s evaluation, we will meet with you to review the results, discuss recommendations, and listen to your observations and priorities. Together, we will outline next steps and decide on the most appropriate services for your child.
Step 5: Start Therapy!
With a plan in place, your child will be paired with a therapist whose training and approach match their needs. Sessions will target communication, early literacy, and other individualized goals using structured, play-based learning.
What Parents Are Saying
Amy Fetter and her team at Integrated Speech and Behavior have supported our adult son, non-verbal with autism, on a consulting basis since 2015. Innovative and perceptive, Amy recommended an alternative communication app (on an iPad) for him after one session. He uses and continues to grow expressive communication with it to this day.
Amy’s team was invaluable in designing transition materials and protocols instrumental in helping our son believe he has true voice and agency. This has lead to 1) a great reduction of challenging behaviors as communication in times of stress, and 2) our son developing an adult life that is active and meaningful to him.
Integrated Speech and Behaviors SLP/BCBA combo has been a slam duck for our son, his team and our family. We are grateful and highly recommend.
Amy Fetter is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced SLP and BCBA. Her work in the field of IDD is extraordinary. Her intitiaves with persons with IDD that do not speak has been so beneficial.
Our field needs an organization like Integrated Speech & Behavior. This is a model for us all. Well done, Amy and colleagues!
