About Us

Our Approach

Behaviorally Informed Speech Therapy, Where Communication Meets the Science of Learning.
At Integrated Speech & Behavior, we are committed to helping every child build a joyful, personally expressed life. One built on genuine relationships, meaningful and effective interventions, and thoughtfully tailored technology.
“Children with complex communication needs require intentional, coordinated teaching that considers both communication development and the science of learning.”

What We Do

We set strategic and systematic goals and track growth using data collection methods that show whether our teaching strategies are working within a reasonable period of time. We don’t waste time, and we track outcomes.

AAC & Assistive Tech

We view Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) not as a last resort, but as a robust teaching tool to support language development.

Vocal Speech

Coordinated Care is Our Standard.

We do not operate in silos. We intentionally collaborate with families, schools, and ABA teams to reinforce communication skills where children live, learn, and play.

“Progress accelerates when everyone is working from a shared understanding.”

How We Teach

The Heart

Communication is rooted in connection. We prioritize your child’s autonomy, interests, and joy.

Our sessions are play-based and flexible, ensuring that therapy feels safe and motivating, never like a chore. We follow your child’s lead to build genuine trust.

Verbal Behavior

Progress relies on structure. We apply principles of learning science to break down complex skills.

We use data to guide every decision, ensuring that we aren’t just guessing what works. If a strategy isn’t yielding results, the data tells us to adjust immediately.

When Heart Meets Science

Complementary Tools

AAC and speech work together, not against each other.

Evidence-Based

Decisions based on real data, not just observation.

Intentional Teaching

Skills are taught systematically, not left to chance.

Consistency

Strategies that work across home, school, and therapy.

Collaboration Is the Work

We believe children make the greatest gains when the adults supporting them learn from one another.

That is why collaboration is built into our process. We speak a shared language around learning, motivation, and skill development, which helps reduce fragmentation and confusion for children.

Our speech therapist can speak the language of ABA as well as the language of speech therapy, allowing our collaboration and communication to be clear and aligned.

“When clinicians collaborate, children benefit. When families are supported, progress carries over. When communication is taught consistently, it becomes empowering.”

Why We Do It

After more than a decade as a behaviorally informed speech therapy practice, founded by a dual-certified SLP and BCBA, we have seen what happens when disciplines work together instead of apart.

We have also seen the cost of fragmentation. Missed opportunities. Slower progress. Frustrated families.

“Our approach exists because we know it can be done better. By combining communication science, earning science, and real-world collaboration, we move closer to seeing the whole child. And when we see the whole child, we can teach in ways that truly support connection, independence, and quality of life.”
