Speech-Language Pathologist

I’m a clinically certified speech-language pathologist who enjoys helping individuals build functional, meaningful communication skills that support greater independence and confidence in everyday life. I earned my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, and my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach.

My path to becoming a speech-language pathologist has given me the opportunity to work with individuals across a variety of settings and life stages. Before becoming an SLP, I spent more than eight years working as a behavior technician and instructional aide, supporting children in their homes and schools. Those experiences taught me a great deal about individualized instruction, behavior support, and the importance of working collaboratively with families and other professionals.

I’ve also volunteered with a brain injury support group, where I helped create opportunities for connection, community, and skill-building to support daily living. Later, I spent two years practicing as a speech-language pathologist in a concussion center, working primarily with adults experiencing cognitive-communication challenges related to brain injury and other communication disorders.

My professional interests include autism, AAC, neurological disorders, play-based intervention, and literacy. I strive to approach therapy with compassion and curiosity, using evidence-based practices while recognizing that every child and family brings their own strengths, needs, and priorities. I especially enjoy helping children find ways to communicate that are meaningful and useful in their everyday lives.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mom of two energetic boys. I enjoy gardening, hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors in beautiful Colorado with my family.
